Join the park naturalist in our Native Plant Garden & Colonial Garden! In celebration of America's 250th Anniverisary, we have planted a sample colonial garden containing plants that would have been used during the Revolutionary War period and earlier. We will give tours of our small Colonial Garden all throughout the program period, so come anytime. The group will also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of native species in PA and discuss some plants that are part of the garden collection.

If participants want to volunteer, they can assist in maintaining our Native Plant Garden by weeding, planting, mulching, or generally helping with any tasks needed to keep the garden healthy and looking beautiful. Feel free to bring hand trowels, weeders, or whatever tools you feel comfortable using.
