Berks County is participating in the 2025 City Nature Challenge! Using iNaturalist, any observation made within the geographic boundaries of Berks County will be included in the challenge totals for the event, as long as the photograph was taken April 25-28. 

You can participate anywhere in Berks county all weekend - even your backyard! But if you are interested in learning more about the challenge, how to use iNaturalist, and practicing with experts in the community, join us at Nolde Forest for our CNC Bioblitz! After the BioBlitz program, stay for the open to the public Mengel Natural History Meeting and presentation about turning your own backyard into a native ecosystem. 

Due to parking limitiations, wifi capabilities, and amount of volunteers available to troubleshoot, this program is reistration only and we will not be able to take walk up particpants. You MUST register each indivdual person who will be participating in the bioblitz (meaning if you AND your teen plan on participating, you must BOTH be registered in order to participate). 

In order to participate you agree to the following:

• I have a smartphone with iNaturalist downloaded (Nolde Forest will not be able to provide enough wifi for you to download the app when you get here, so please make sure it is already on your phone before the program)
• I have an iNaturalist account and I know the log in and password
• I am 13+ (iNaturalist requires all users to be 13 or older)
