This is a family friendly program.
Join a state park naturalist for an easy 2 mile walk around our cavity nesting trail. To start this program, we will learn all about birds in general! While walking, we will observe and learn about cavity nesting species in our area such as Eastern Bluebirds and Tree Swallows and what you can do to help protect songbirds in your area. Once the walk is complete, you will have the opportunity to build your own cavity nesting box!
This program is in partnership with Remake Learning Days. Remake Learning Days Across America is an innovative learning festival for families and youth! Taking root in regions across the nation, these hands-on and engaging events are designed for kids of all ages at libraries, schools, tech centers, museums, play spaces, community centers and more. This year’s festival is from April 22 – May 23, 2022.
