Butterfly Blitz

We are conducting a Butterfly Blitz all summer long through iNaturalist and we invite eveyrone to take part!

This project will help us:

• Compile an accurate list of butterflies found in the park
• Observe species abundane and see population trends over time
• See how they respond to our natural resource management plans

This is a project you can do all on your own. All you need is:

• An iNaturalist account (www.inaturalist.org)
• And any camera.

Upload your photos of butterflies you find in the park and identify it or use the iNaturalist community to offer identification assistance.

We are also offering group surveys throughout the summer on the dates listed below.

To follow COVID-19 guidelines, group size is limited and pre-registration is required by 4pm the day prior to an event. Each person must bring a mask to attend. To register, contact us at 814-674-1000 x105.
