Brunch and Bird - Virtual Program
3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607
Learn the Basics of Backyard Bird ID and apply it with the world-wide Great Backyard Bird Count event.
**Virtual Program – this program will NOT be recorded**
Join us from the comfort of your home as we learn about and celebrate the birds that live in and around Nolde Forest EE Center. During this program, participants will learn and practice bird identification virtually. Our focus for this program will be identifying the common backyard birds that you are most likely to see during winter in SE Pennsylvania. The world-wide community science project, the "Great Backyard Bird Count," will be held Feb 18-21 this year. During our bird ID program, we will give you all of the tools necessary for you to participate in this project from your very own backyard!
This program will take place virtually. Participants will need access to a computer and internet. During the program, participants will be asked to practice identifying some common backyard birds. We will show you how to use an online tool for bird ID but you are welcome to use any bird ID books or resources that you own instead. If you would like to download the phone app version of the website that we will be using, please do so ahead of time.
**Registration is required for ALL participants. The virtual program link will be sent to the contact email you include in your registration. Register by clicking the green button in the upper righthand corner.
**This program will NOT be recorded.**
