CANCELED - Amid concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19, all public programs, events, and trainings in state parks and forests are canceled through April 30. Except for the parks and forests that have been announced as closed, state park and forest facilities remain open.

Bluebirds are a fan favorite of many bird lovers.  As the harbingers of spring, they remind us that the cold, harsh days of winter will soon be behind us.  If you’re a fan of these feathered beauties or want to become a bluebird enthusiast, consider joining the park naturalist and the park’s current project volunteers for a bluebird volunteer training.  We’ll learn how to properly maintain bluebird boxes, how to check on nests and collect data, and why all of this is important.  We will also discuss the process of becoming a bluebird volunteer at the park!  Please call the park office and register for this event at 814.676.5915.
