Blue Moon Hike
6235 Aughwick Road, Fort Loudon, PA 17224-9801
Come join the park naturalist for a hike around the lake with a rest to watch the moonrise. Along the way, we will learn why this full moon is called Blue Moon and the other names that other cultures gave to the November full moons. The hike is along the easy Lakeside Trail. Bring a flashlight for later in the hike. This program is limited to 24 participants. Participants can pre-register by contacting the park office at 717-485-3948 before 4:00 pm the day of the program. Unreserved spots will be available on a first come basis at the time of the program. All participants must wear masks during the program and they will need to maintain social distancing. Families that live under the same roof, may be closer, but should maintain social distance from others not in their group. It is suggested that you bring hand sanitizer along with you.
