Bird Count Storytime & Little Tyke Hike
3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607
**For Families with children ages PreK-1st grade**
Families with older children should look to attend the 4pm after school bird ID program on Friday, Feb 18th.
Come watch, learn about, and celebrate the birds that live in and around Nolde Forest EE Center. In this program, we will meet in McConnell Hall for a story and some bird ID practice at the window feeders. Then we will move outdoors for a short birding walk. The world-wide community science project, the "Great Backyard Bird Count," will be held Feb 18-21 this year. During our storytime program, we will be recording our bird sightings which Nolde Staff will submit to the official count. We will also give you all of the tools necessary for you to continue to participate in this project from your very own backyard!
This program will take place both inside and outside so please bring layers for the hike.
**Registration is required for ALL participants. Spaces are limited. Register by clicking the green button in the upper righthand corner.
**This program will only be cancelled in case of severe inclement weather. Please check your email to receive any cancellation updates.
