Bird-Friendly Windows Demonstration

Autumn is the time for bird migration.

Did you know that migrating birds often fly at night and are disoriented by our lights?

Did you know that glass collisions kill up to 1 billion birds in the US each year?

We can prevent bird mortality by reducing our outward lighting and using bird deterrent technology on our windows.   Come learn about practical solutions and see examples of the window treatments that Nolde Forest EE Center is currently installing to make our buildings more bird-friendly.

Stop by McConnell Hall anytime between 3 and 3:45 to learn more, no registration needed. Be sure to make time to vist the mansion as it will be open for the montly open house at this time.
