Bioactive, Streamside Terrarium Build: Watch or Help!
10 Lower Pine Bottom Rd, Waterville, PA 17776
The fish tank in the Tiadaghton Resource Management Center that traditionally held brook trout is being turned into a self-sustaining ecosystem that will mimic many of the local mountain streams that feed Pine Creek!
A small waterfall, rocks, substrate, and local plants will form the home for a red eft and adult red-spotted newts, an American toad, and a variety of small forest floor critters!
Want to see how a bioactive terrarium is built, or lend a hand yourself? Stop by the office anytime from 9am to 2pm October 11 & 12 to lend a hand or watch the terrarium be put together! Ask questions, learn how the terrarium is going to work, and discover the plants and critters that will call it home.
