Binoculars with Baird
3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607
Are you a fledgling bird enthusiast looking to learn the ways of the mysterious binocular? Or perhaps you are a seasoned birder looking for some tips and tricks for using this helpful tool?
This program is for all of you!
Join Baird Ornithological club in this hands-on introduction to the use of binoculars for viewing birds.
Initial instruction will take place inside McConnell Hall. Participants will be given instruction on adjusting and using binoculars which will be put into practice right away as a group. We will start by viewing birds at the feeders beyond the windows of the classroom before putting our new-found skills to the test on a walk looking for birds in the forest.
Quality binoculars will be available to borrow during the program. If you have a pair of your own that you would like to bring for the instruction, please do!
**Registration is required for this program.**
Spaces are limited.
This program is for adults and children ages 8+. Families may be guided in a separate "family-friendly" walk during the outdoor portion of the program, depending on turnout.
This program may be cancelled for inclement weather. Participants will be contacted via email in this case.

This will allow us time to reach out to other participants/families on the wait list and allow them to fill your spot.
