Meet at the yurt parking lot for a hike along River Trail to the tallest known red oaks in the Cook Forest/Clear Creek State Park Complex. Last measured several years ago to over 126ft tall, it is taller than any red oaks currently found in Cook Forest. If it survived the 2021 tornado and didn’t lose any of its top, it could now be over 130ft tall! *Please bring your hiking gear as we might venture from the trail as well as water!
