Beginner Fly Tying

Are you interested in fly fishing for trout? Have you ever wondered how to tie trout flies but do not know where to start? Consider coming to the Park Office Conference Room (Prince Gallitzin State Park Office, 966 Marina Road, Patton, PA 16668 at back of building lower level doors) to learn the basics of fly tying. Learn about the tools and techniques used to tie your own trout flies. All tools and material will be provided free of cost, and participants will be able to keep their completed fly patterns. This course is intended for first time novice fly tiers ages 10 and up, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Equipment is limited. Pre-registration is required by email or phone and closes two days prior to the program.
