Beginner Birders
Join our park educator to learn the basic skills in finding and identifying birds. Please meet in the Environmental Learning Center for a brief introduction and to learn how to use binoculars and field guides. After, we will embark on a short, easy walk to observe the birds at Raymond B. Winter State Park.
This program is recommended for beginner birders of all ages! We will have a limited supply of binoculars and field guides, but guests are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they prefer.
If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for programs. For program questions or accommodations, contact the park educator at rebharner@pa.gov or 570-966-1455.
