Beekeepers and wanna-BEES – we will be doing a guided hive inspection & honey extraction on our hives! To get close for the inspection, you’ll need a bee suit. This is designed for adults who are interested in learning the care of bees, but older interested children are welcome. We may have a spare suit or two, but you need a suit to get close. If you are allergic or unsure, you will want to stay back for this portion! Even with a suit, there is always a risk of being stung.

For the honey extraction (around 11am) we will be in the park office classroom with the honey frames. You do not need a suit for this portion! You can sample honey and have the chance to purchase fresh from the hive. All proceeds benefit our Friends of Little Buffalo. Please register so we have an idea of how many to expect!
