Join park naturalist Rob Bergstresser for a 2.0-mile guided nature hike along this beautiful trail. A section of this trail was formerly a stagecoach road, leading past the remnants of an 18th century sawmill and slate quarry. This unique trail is full of fascinating natural and 18th century local pioneer history. All ages and experience levels are invited. Participants should bring water, a snack, bug spray, sunscreen, and wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes.
Rain will postpone the hike.
Pre-registration is required and limited to 15 participants.
We will be meeting at the Sawmill Trailhead off of Old Mill Road.
***PLEASE NOTE*** Program participants must bring a face covering or mask with them and have it in their possession during the program in case it’s needed for various reasons (when social distancing cannot be maintained, need to go indoors where masks are required, etc.)
