The Friends of Nolde Forest are delighted to welcome Pennsylvania Bat Rescue to Nolde Forest!

Join the dedicated staff of PA Bat Rescue in McConnell Hall for a special presentation about the bats of Pennsylvania (and beyond): the different species that live in our area, bat biology, what makes them so special…. and vulnerable. Enjoy a special guest appearance by the PA Bat Rescue non-releasable education bats, as well!

If weather allows, after sunset we will venture outside to look for bats flying in the forest. We will use special technology to help us listen to bat echolocation and help us identify the different species flying just over our heads in the darkness! If we have perfect conditions and there are patients ready to discharge, we might even get to see some newly rehabbed bats get released back into the night skies once again, too.

Registration is required for all participants. Spaces are limited, so please be sure you sign up and pay to finalize your registration spot. We will not be able to take walk up participants.

All payments are final. Refunds will not be given for registrations cancelled after August 3rd.
