They’re often feared and often hated, but the world’s only truly flying mammals are fascinating and important parts of our ecosystem, not to mention they benefit humans in a variety of ways! Come and learn just why these creatures are so important, and walk with us afterwards to search for some!
We will be going on a walk after our bat discussion to look for bats, but we should see some at the stage where we will meet for this event. The walk is optional. The stage is located in the East Day Use Area next to pavilion 3.
All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes. If you have concerns or require special accommodations, please reach out to us at least 72 hours prior to the event at 717-567-9255 or email us at Littlebuffsp@pa.gov.
