Join the park naturalist for an introduction to birding as we take part in The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Great Backyard Bird Count.  We'll learn why this yearly event is important and how to use a basic bird field guide before heading outside to take our count.  Please dress for the weather, as a large portion of this event will take place outside.  Bring a camp chair if you would like to sit while watching the birds!  The park has a limited supply of binoculars for use on a first-come basis.
