This program is the precursor for the Gerard Trail Series Backpacking Trip, which will take place September 24-25.  If you plan to register for the trip, we strongly suggest that you attend this program as well.  We will be going over necessary gear and how to use it, how to pack a pack, and backpacking recipes/meal suggestions.  The park has backpacking gear for those who do not have their own or need to supplement what they do have.  If you are interested in joining us for the trip please email ikuberry@pa.gov or call 814.676.1810.  The backpacking trip is free, but you must be able to hike 12 miles on rough, steep terrain.
