Attracting Pollinators
1579 State Park Road, Newport, PA 17074-9428
Want to learn how to turn your garden into a pollinator’s paradise? Stop by the butterfly garden during this hour to explore our garden’s selection of wildflowers and herbs and learn how to pick the best plants to attract wildlife to your yard. We’ll also discuss the life cycles and needs of bees and butterflies and look for caterpillars in the garden.
The butterfly garden is located in the Shoaff’s Mill day use area. This is a come anytime during the hour program. We will have handouts and resources to help you make better choices when choosing plants.
All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs.
