It is with deep sadness and embarrassment that I must cancel our kayak programs on September 30.

The Long Pine Reservoir renovation is now over four weeks behind schedule, and I am not legally allowed to access it.

My 2024 season begins in April, so begin watching then for the new season of kayak events.

Take a moment to look at the stars - while sitting in a kayak. All equipment (kayaks, paddles, vests) will be provided, but please dress appropriately for the weather. No experience is required. If you can sit in a chair, then you can handle a kayak on a calm lake.

This program is for ages 12 and over. Although sponsored by Caledonia State Park, we will meet directly at the boat launch of Long Pine Reservoir, 675 Milesburg Road. If there will be thunderstorms, the program will be cancelled.

Participation is free, but pre-registrartion is required. There are a total of ten pirogues available. Participants must sign a safety waiver, and wear a life vest during the entire event. Water shoes and insect spray are recommended. Please bring a headlamp or flashlight.

We hope to see constellations, planets, the International Space Station, and the USS Enterprise. Participants are responsble for ensuring the skies will be clear of clouds.
