Art in the Park: Pottery

Come learn some hand building pottery skills as Kate Reynolds of Mudware Designs guides you to create a beautiful piece of artwork for use in your garden. The program takes place from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm over the following four sessions: Tuesday, August 2; Thursday, August 4; Thursday, August 11; and Tuesday August 16. All tools and materials will be provided. The project for this session will be a butterfly puddler that is about 8 inches long. During the last session, the park naturalist will present a program on attracting butterflies, their importance and using your puddler. The cost for the program is $15 which must be paid by cash or check before the first class. This can be done by stopping by the park office or by sending a check to: Cowans Gap State Park, Attn. Art in the Park Pottery, 6235 Aughwick Road, Fort Loudon, PA 17224. This program is being presented in conjunction with the Arts in Education Program. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required by clicking the "Buy Ticket" button on this page or by contacting the park office at (717)485-3948. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
