Animal Traces Hike

 Explore the Sunken Garden Trail for signs of how animals get ready for winter. Learn about hibernators, migrators, and those hardy critters that stay active all winter long in our Pennsylvania woods.

All ages invited on this moderate hike of about one mile, watching for signs of wildlife activity. Dress for the weather, bring your own water and snacks, and wear sturdy footwear. Meet by the open restroom at the Pleasant Valley Picnic Area, about ½ mile straight past the South Shore park office, 225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville, PA.

Light snow or shine is fine, but severe weather or dangerous road conditions automatically cancels event.
