Afterschool Camp: Owls
3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607
Join The Friends of Nolde Forest and Park Staff for a special afterschool camp all about Owls!
In this drop off camp, students ages 7-12 will explore all the adaptations that makes owls special. Learn how they see in the dark, how they eat their food, and how they hunt silently! Explore taxidermy, wings, and owl skulls to learn all about their anatomy. Students might even get a chance to see a live owl close up!
Like all of our afterschool camps, the program will start with free play time in our Nature Discovery Area and activities outdoors before moving indoors to our classroom, so please make sure all students are dressed in layers for both indoor and outdoor learning. There will be a story and snack time built into camp activities, so please make sure your student brings a snack with them.
This program will end promptly at 6pm – please do not be late when picking up your child. The cost of this program is $10.00 per student, paid in advance. To register and pay, please click the green button. Your child will not have a space in the camp until payment is received.
Due to the popularity of our afterschool camp programs and a growing number of registrants who do not show up, there will be NO REFUNDS if you do not cancel your registration 48 hours before the program.
This program is for children ages 7-12 years old. If you are looking for the Adult program, please DO NOT REGISTER for this event, and click here instead: https://events.dcnr.pa.gov/event/the_friends_of_nolde_forest_present_full_moon_owl_hike
