CANCELED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION

Celebrate America250 by learning some fiber arts skills. Did you know Reading was once the epicenter of weaving textiles in the country? And during the colonial period, one of the chores of the children in the family was to weave "tape"? In this hands on class for students ages 6 to 11 we will learn about what woven things we still use in our day to day life and weave our own bookmarks to take home!

Like all of our camp programs, we will start with free play in the Chickadee Nature Area followed by a hike before we return to the classroom for our activity.

Parents are welcome to drop their registered child(ren) off and, if you have other students outside of this age range, we invite you to take a forest hike with them, while we learn.

This program will take place both inside and outside. Please make sure all students are dressed appropriately to spend time outside. Students are encouraged to bring a snack and a drink. Registration is required for ALL participants. Spaces are limited. There is a $10 fee for each student.

**This program will be cancelled in case of severe inclement weather. Please check your email to receive any cancellation updates.**
