Afterschool Camp: Fighting Biting Bugs – the Fun Way

3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607

Getting bit by mosquitoes can drive you “batty”, but do you know what kinds of creatures love to eat mosquitoes and other insects???  Come play, hike, and learn about the animals that help reduce the biting bug populations in the forest.  Afterward, you can design & create whacky inventions to help protect you and your loved ones from getting bugged by biting insects!

For children ages 6 through 12.  Camp will begin with free play in the Chickadee Nature Discovery Area, followed by a hike, then back to the picnic area for craft creation.

Parents are invited to drop their registered child(ren) off and, if you have other students outside of this age range, we invite you to take a winter forest hike with them, while we work on learning about forest insect-eaters!

Please make sure all students are dressed appropriately to spend time outside.  Campers are also encouraged to bring a snack and drink.

**Registration is required for ALL participants. Spaces are limited. There is a $10 fee for each student. **Register by clicking the "buy tickets" link under the title at the top of this page. *This program will only be cancelled in case of severe inclement weather. Please check your email to receive any cancellation updates.
