A Walk Down Glacier Lane

***Registration required: Please register for this program by clicking the green "register" button.***

***Meeting location: High Rocks Overlook Parking, 150 Tory Rd., Pipersville, PA, 18947***

Have you ever wondered about how the ice age changed the world we live in?  Join us at High Rocks for a walk along the trail while we discuss the glacial processes that shaped the area.  Beginning at the vistas, we will discuss the different ways glaciers carved up the landscape, how glaciers form and move, and the stunning features they leave behind.  We will also discuss the geological composition of the area while enjoying the autumn foliage as we make our way to Grey Walls, where we will discuss glacial striations and identifying evidence of glacial events.

This ~2 mile hike will be over uneven terrain with significant elevation changes.

  • Bathrooms: There is a port-o-john in the parking area.
  • What to Bring/Wear: Please bring water.  Remember to dress in non-cotton layers and wear hiking boots/shoes.
  • Special Considerations: Sorry, but this is not a dog-friendly program.

Program will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
