A Jennings Original Storybook Trail: "One Little Acorn"

Come to Jennings and follow the Storybook Trail featuring One Little Acorn. The Storybook Trail is a fun, educational, outdoor activity that places the pages from a children’s story along the trail to discover and read while exploring the outdoors, learning about nature, and sharing in some related activities with your family and friends.  Walk a portion of Jennings trails and experience the story unfold of the adventures of a single acorn. This fun, self-guided activity is designed for young children and those young at heart.

The event is free, no registration is required, and will be available Saturday, October 23, through Sunday, October 31, 2021.  The story begins to the right of the Center and proceeds onto Old Elm Trail and part of Black Cherry Trail. The route contains some slight slopes and uneven terrain, but is generally easy and mostly stroller friendly.  A mask is recommended, as social distancing on the trails during this time may be difficult.

For more information call the Center at 724-794-6011.
