A Day in the Life: Civilian Conservation Corps

Join us for this month's program at the park as we celebrate Labor Day weekend as we take a look at life in the Civilian Conservation Corps at the Richmond Furnace Camp  during the 1930’s and early 1940’s. The program will be presented through the eyes of Donald ‘Cookie’ Cooke who worked in the mess hall. You will learn about everyday routines, their accomplishments, and the importance of the program to  parks and the men.

Access for People with Disabilities

If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact George Barner at 717-485-3948 or by e-mail at Ra-nrspcogaee@pa.gov.
