A Day in the Life: Civilian Conservation Corps
TIME CHANGE FOR PROGRAM: This program will now take place from 6::00 PM until 7:00 PM. Join us for a look at life in the Civilian Conservation Corps here at Cowans Gap during the 1930’s and early 1940’s through the eyes of Donald ‘Cookie’ Cooke who worked in the mess hall. You will learn about everyday routines, their accomplishments, and the importance of the program to the park, the men and the country.
