Welcome to the 2025 Trough Creek and Warriors Path Trail Challenge! Join us over the course of the summer for an exciting season of outdoor adventure at Trough Creek and Warriors Path State Park. Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to tackle the rugged terrain of these scenic trails. Explore the beauty of nature, push your limits, and make unforgettable memories with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this epic experience - sign up now!

The fee for this Trail Challenge is $25 payable by cash or check to Pennsylvania  Parks & Forest Foundation.

Over the course of this hiking series we will hike all of the trails these two beautiful parks have to offer. Each hike will have two sessions availabe to attend. Complete all seven sessions to earn the Trail Challenge T-shirt. If you miss a hike do not despair. You can make up two hikes on your own, as long as proof of the hike is provided, and still earn the T-shirt.

Once you register you will be sent a Google form to select which dates you wish to hike and other information.

Hike 1: Ledges Loop @ Trough Creek State Park

Dates: April 12th & 17th

Meeting Location: Ledges Trail Parking Area

Hike 2: Warriors Trail & Broadtop Loop @ Warriors Path State Park

Dates: May 10th & 15th

Meeting Location: Pavilion # 1 Parking Area

Hike 3: Laurel Run Trail @ Trough Creek State Park

Dates: June 14th & 19th

Meeting Location: Picnic Area 4 Parking lot

Hike 4:Island Farm/Deer Trail @ Warriors Path State Park

Dates: July 12th & 24th

Meeting Location: Pavilion # 1 Parking Area

Hike 5: Balanced Rock/Raven Rock/Cemetery Trail @ Trough Creek State Park

Dates: August 16th & 21st

Meeting Location: Balanced Rock Parking Lot ( We will need to drive to the cemetery trail after)

Hike 6: Boulder Trail @ Trough Creek State Park

Dates: September 13th & 18th

Meeting Location: Balanced Rock Parking Lot

Hike 7:River Trail @ Warriors Path State Park

Dates: October 11th & 16th
