Back because you asked for it! And I’m so happy that you did!
All new activities! This year we will focus on early vegetable gardens and will start plants using different methods: rooting, seeds, bulbs. Students will use the scientific method to learn about plant growth and where our food comes from. Our goal is for each student to leave with several types of vegetable plants and the plan for a garden of their own just in time for the outdoor growing season.
Through themed lessons, students will:
> Engage in hands-on experimentation and observation using the scientific method.
> Explore the interaction of different organisms in a garden environment
> Raise plants and create habitat elements while taking into consideration the specific needs of each organism.
> Earn Junior Master Gardener Golden Ray Certificates for their portfolios.
