2018 (100th Anniversary of the Armistice) Veterans Appreciation Day at the US Coast Guard Station

This year will mark the fourth Annual Veterans Appreciation Day at Presque Isle State Park in honor of our veterans and active service members. Start your day with a breakfast in the Sunset Cafe at the TREC from 8 AM to 9 AM, free for veterans with proper ID and $7.50 plus tax for non-veterans. A ceremony will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM at the US Coast Guard Station. A tour of the US Coast Guard building and grounds will be from 11 AM to 12 PM. Veterans can see a discounted film on the Big Green Screen, and a 20% discount at the PI Gallery and Gift shop at the TREC.

Throughout the month of November, the Presque Isle Partnership will be supporting our troops through a collection of donated items, to be sent at a later date. Individuals may drop off donations to the main lobby at the TREC from 9 AM - 5 PM daily. Donations will also be accepted in the lobby of the Erie Maritime Museum Gift Shop, Monday through Saturday, from 9 AM - 5 PM.

Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff. If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
