Presque Isle State Park

301 Peninsula Drive, Suite 1, Erie, PA 16505-2042

Presque Isle State Park is a 3,200-acre sandy peninsula that arches into Lake Erie. As Pennsylvania's only "seashore," Presque Isle offers its visitors a beautiful coastline and many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling and in-line skating. A National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle is a favorite spot for migrating birds. Because of the many unique habitats, Presque Isle contains a greater number of the state's endangered, threatened and rare species than any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania.

It was a very nice ride a little long for smaller kids but great for older kids and adults. Beautiful scenery and the guides were very well educated on what they were showing us! Wonderful!

Not what I expected... Tried going twice and each time there was barely anyone around, no Tai Chi group (although I was offered to be thought by myself which I found slightly awkward)... Just a few people sitting around listening to the music. I thought this was going to be somewhat like group beach yoga, ad this dod not meet my expectations.

My grandson and I had a great time fishing and having the Rangers describe the ecosystems and the history of the area.

The pontoon boat ride was very informative. The seats were aluminum and VERY uncomfortable. If someone has back issues, bring something to seat on. It is difficult to navigate the DCNR site where you make the reservation.
