Come enjoy a nighttime view of the heavens! The park naturalist will be on hand to point out various constellations and other items of interest. Keep an eye out for “shooting stars”, too, since this will be near the peak of the annual Perseids meteor shower. While you’re here learn about PA’s disappearing dark skies and what you can do to help prevent it. Participants may wish to bring a lawn chair or blanket to lie on. Stay for a little while or for the whole time! Meet on Headache Hill. If arriving after 8:30, please turn off headlights as you approach the hill, or park below and walk up. In case of cloudy or inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
