National Trail Day: Hike & Volunteer!

Enjoy National Trails Day by hiking, improving trails or both! – Join the Delaware Canal State Park, Heritage Conservancy and Landmark Towns of Bucks County, a program of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, for a fun-filled set of activities in honor of National Trails Day. Start the day with a lovely guided hike along the Delaware Canal Section of the D&L Trail departing from Washington Crossing.

Then volunteer at Heritage Conservancy’s Sol & Rose Preserve to clear the trail of winter debris, remove nonnative plants and improve the trail for an enjoyable detour off the towpath through an old growth forest.

All volunteers have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch afterwards. No matter what you choose, you’re sure to have a great time enjoying the natural beauty of this wonderful area!

Approximately 4 mile hike led by Delaware Canal State Park from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Volunteering with Heritage Conservancy at Sol & Rose from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Free volunteer lunch provided at about 1:00 PM.

**Participants can choose to sign up for just the hike, just the volunteer service, or both! To register, please contact Shannon Fredebaugh at sfredebaugh@heritageconservancy.org or 215-345-7020 ext. 104 by May 31st.**
