Music on the Beach Summer Concert Series

Come out and enjoy some great live, local music from your kayak, the swimming area, a beach towel, or the comfort of your favorite camping chair.  When it gets cooler you can cozy up to the bonfire and enjoy the music of several local bands and entertainers. We have a great line-up this year.

The Series kicks off on Memorial Day weekend, when the Stone Valley Pickers appears on Saturday, May 27. The Stone Valley Pickers play tunes for everyone in both big city and country livin' with a blend of instruments featuring music from Irish fiddle tunes to rockin' old country to the soul of Appalachia and more.

Then on June 17, new to our stage is Country girl Erin Condo, who brings a big-city sound to the park.

GRAIN takes stage on July 15th,playing Appalachian Mountain music that is mixed with styles ranging from bluegrass and blues to gypsy jazz and grunge.

And finishing the summer on August 19 is returning favorite Eric Ian Farmer. He keeps alive classics by artists like Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, and Bob Marley, as well as shares his own songs about relationships, social awareness, and finding one's path in life.

All concerts begin at 7 pm on the beach. Snacks and drinks will be for sale by the Friends group.

The summer concert series began in the summer of 2015 to increase awareness and to raise funds for projects in Whipple Dam State Park. A $5 donation is suggested. The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Friends of Greenwood Furnace, Whipple Dam, and Penn-Roosevelt State Parks. All donation proceeds go to the Friends group for projects at Whipple Dam State Park.
