Natural resource specialist, Tim Morey, will lead a “Maple Meander” or a hike if that's what you want to call it. Of course, we might need to use snowshoes because after all, March 12th was the date of a 1993 snowfall of epic proportions. If needed, snowshoes will be available in reasonable quantities. The theme will be maple syrup and during the course of the hike, the group will explore the sugarbush at the park and scout out new stands of maple trees. Approximate distance will be under 2 miles and we’ll likely do more talking and looking that hiking. March is a wonderful time to be in the woods and if the sap is running we may fire up the park evaporator and make some syrup as well. Plan on concluding by Noon.
