KEEP Workshops
Keystone Energy Education Program Workshop (KEEP) are scheduled this spring across the commonwealth. Are you looking for curriculum, lesson plans or guidance on how best to get your students involved in "energy stuff"? If so, join the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and its partners for a FREE Keystone Energy Education Program (KEEP) Workshop. At this workshop you'll learn: All about the Energy Pathway in the Eco-Schools USA program; where to get energy data and resources; how to use your building as a teaching tool; ways to teach about alternative/renewable energy and fuels; how to assist a student energy team in measuring their successes. Workshop participants will receive: Standards-based educator guides, a 'Keep Kit' that includes data gathering tools and hands-on activities supplies (multi-meters, etc.); a thumb drive of curated resource links; access to teacher mini-grants. the workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (please bring a lucnh). 6.5 Act 48 credits are available
