Growing Up WILD Educator Workshop

Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them.  Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills.

Any educators of students ages 3-7 are invited to attend this Growing Up WILD workshop, including day care providers, Scout leaders, homeschoolers, and youth group teachers. Participants receive the activity guide Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children, other related teaching materials, refreshments, and four ACT 48 hours. Please bring a lunch, and dress to be indoors and outdoors. Meet in the park office conference room, which can be accessed at the rear of the building. Please note that the workshop is for grownups only--please make other arrangements for your little ones while you attend.

The cost for this workshop is $10. To register, please contact Beth Garner at 814-674-1000 x105 or bgarner@pa.gov.  Registrations must be received by April 14.
