FIRST DAY HIKE

Monday, January 1, 2018 at 2:00pm

Meeting Location:  Environment Interpretive Center (EIC)

Degree of Difficulty:  Easy

Restrictions: Dogs must be kept on leash and waste must be picked up and disposed appropriately

Length of Hike:  3.25 miles

Things to bring:  Water and warm, comfortable footwear

Warm beverages and baked goods for sale - available at the EIC

Hike from the Beltzville EIC to the Tower on top of the dam culminating in a scenic view of Beltzville Lake. This hike provides a means for individuals and families to welcome the coming year in the outdoors, exercising and connecting with nature. Furthermore, exercise and outdoor activities rejuvenate the mind and body, promoting overall mental and physical health and wellness. Many believe that time spent in nature enhances creativity and lifts our moods!
