Fly Fishing Instructional Workshop

This is a free event open to the public with casting instructions for beginners provided by Caldwell Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Pennsylvania Sea Grant, and Park Naturalists from Presque Isle State Park. This workshop is geared toward those anglers that have thought about getting into fly fishing but did not know where to go to learn the basics of fly fishing. The workshop will provide instruction in the basics of fly fishing, how to choose the right equipment, hands on fly casting instruction, and fly tying basics. For the experienced fly fisher, there will be several seminars on improving your efforts for steelhead fishing, nymph fishing, and mastering the dry fly.

No fee or registration required.

Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff.  If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit.  With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.  Please call the Erie ASL Interpreters’ Office at (814) 806-2511 for more information about this service.
