Fire Cider: Hands-on-Heritage Adult Learning Series

Come to learn a new/old skill!

Tyler State Park is again partnering with Thankful Sage Farm School to bring you Hands-On-Heritage.  In each of these programs, we will discuss local history in context of the season and try our hand at some heritage skills to take home to share with our families.  These are a fun and open format where you can ask questions and share stories from your own experience or family history.   By popular request, we are bringing back the morning sessions (on Tuesdays for adults only) and also modifying the Monday evening format to allow kids 12 and up to attend with their parents! Please note though that all participants must register and pay the $12 materials fee. The registration link will take you to the Thankful Sage Farm School page where you will need to choose Monday or Tuesday session.

February: Fire Cider

We will be discussing the folk remedy called Fire Cider. This health tonic is made with apple cider vinegar, and we will discuss the origins and benefits. A demonstration will show how we can prepare this at home, and each class member will take home a pre made bottle of their own. All materials supplied.
