Children in 2nd through 6th grades are invited to explore the science of birds during Family Science Night: Investigating Birds on Friday, May 25 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Halfway Run Environmental Center. Young explorers will examine the physical features of birds that help them fly, find food and migrate long distances. Try your skills at building a nest, make a birdy craft and discover ways that you can help these avian athletes right in your own backyard. This program is free, but registration is required by May 23 at the link to the right or by calling 570-966-1455. Adults and older siblings are welcomed and encouraged to remain during the program to investigate alongside the children.
