Join the park naturalist at the eagle watch area to learn about this magnificent bird of prey and observe eagles in the nest. The eagle watch area is located just upstream from the entrance to the boat launch area. The nest is approximately 800' from the viewing area, and only slightly elevated. Binoculars and spotting scopes will be available for use during the scheduled time, and you are welcome to stay afterwards to continue viewing on your own.
Bald eagles have been nesting at Little Pine State Park since 2004. This year it looks like they began incubating behavior about february 27, according to reports from park visitors. We hope that we will have a successful nesting again this year.
Meet at the eagle watch area for this program.
