Ancient Atlatl

Throughout history humans have relied on many weapons for protection and to gather food. Join the Park Naturalist as he educates you on a weapon that pre-dates the bow and arrow.  The Atlatl was once one of the most widely distributed tools during ancient times and is still widely used today. Join us for this introductory lesson to learn atlatl history, basic techniques and safety. After a short discussion, participants will have the
opportunity to use the Atlatl and take part in a fun competition to see who is the most accurate.
